Comment: Assembly detail of the aft cone (the broom). Note the blind nut threads for the Kaplow Clips, the launch lug and launch rod hole (dowel is through the lug and hole, into the cone, for alignment), and the cardboard stiffener inside the cone.
Nose Bulkhead Installation * The nose shock cord bridle and bulkhead assembly installed in the tubing coupler. This will go in the aft end of a short body tube; the nose cone will be attached to the forward end. * 1613 x 1840 * (690KB)

Tail Cone Assembly * The tail cone is made of posterboard. After inserting some stiffening rings, I coated it with thin CyA for strength and stiffness. (The cone is about 30 cm long.) * 853 x 2444 * (478KB)

Kinked Tube View 1 * While painting, the rocket fell over and the tube kinked. Well, broke, really. Yes, I was able to repair it: just sectioned and spliced. * 2554 x 1224 * (534KB)
